Roaming is a key feature of GSM and GPRS, giving consumers seamless same-number contactability in over a hundred countries. Operators exchange call event details on these roaming subscribers. Roaming offers the convenience of a single number, a single bill and a single phone with worldwide access. Roaming is technically supported by mobility management, authentication and billing procedures. Establishing roaming between network operators is based on the commercial terms and conditions contained in Roaming Agreements. This course will provide the participants with the knowledge and understanding of various technical and commercial aspects of International Roaming.
