CAMEL is an acronym for Customized Application for Mobile Enhanced Logic that uses the CAP (CAMEL application part) as a signaling protocol used in the mobile network IN architecture. It is a means of adding intelligent applications to mobile networks. It is layered on top of the Transaction Capabilities Application Part (TCAP) of the SS7 protocol suite, and allows for the implementation of carrier-grade, value added services such as unified messaging, prepaid, fraud control and free phone for both mobile voice and data networks. This course provides participants with the knowledge and understanding of the concepts and technologies associated with the capabilities of CAMEL.
