Durations: 3 days
As fiber optic cables becomes standard for data transmission by telcos, carriers and utilities are increasingly deploying more high-speed SDH (synchronous digital network) technologies to support their access, junction and trunk transport infrastructure. This course builds on the SDH Principles and dwells into advanced topics pertaining to path/repeater/multiplex section alarms, different types of protection switching, pointer actions, network management, and alarm management. It provides details of PDH to SDH mapping, SDH multiplexing to achieve higher speeds and clock synchronization.
Who will Benefit:
Technical personnel responsible for the planning, design, management or support of networks employing SDH technology.
Should have attended the SDH Principles course or have equivalent experience.
Mode of Delivery:
Instructor led classes, demonstrations, multi-media simulations, and tutorial exercise.
