SIGTRAN (Signaling Transport), defined by the IETF working group makes it possible to transport Signaling System No.7 (SS7) signaling traffic over IP networks. This course provides participants with the knowledge of SS7oIP architecture as well as a background into the next generation telephony architecture. This course comprehensively covers SIGTRAN protocols that enable SS7 protocols to be run over IP networks. In addition the ITU BICC protocol will be covered.
