W-CDMA (Wideband Code Division Multiple Access) is the radio access technology of 3GPP’s UMTS standard. It uses the DS-CDMA channel access method and the Frequency Division Duplex (FDD) duplexing method to achieve higher speeds and support more users compared to most time division multiple access (TDMA) and time division duplex (TDD) schemes used before. This course provides technical staff an understanding of WCDMA air interface concepts and procedures and an update from 3GPP R99 to the R8 standard
Who will Benefit: Technical staff responsible for WCDMA network implementation, maintenance and trouble shooting.
Participant should have a basic understanding of the UMTS standard or have equivalent experience in the mobile radio industry.
Mode of Delivery: Instructor led classes, multi-media simulations, demonstrations, videos and tutorial exercise.
