WiMAX (Wireless Interoperability for Microwave Access), based on the IEEE 802.16 standards is an IP based broadband access technology that supports very high data rates comparable with 3G/ 4G mobile systems and in a cost effective manner. It is used for provisioning the “Firstmile” as well as backhaul connectivity for mobile and enterprise networks. This course focusses on the protocols involved in he end to end signaling of the mobile WiMAX.
