WiMAX (Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access) is a broadband wireless communication standard ratified by the WiMAX forum and is based on the IEEE 802.16 genre of standards. Fixed WiMAx is based on the IEEE 802.16-2004 standard. Mobile WiMAX is based on the IEEE 802.16-2005 standard, and future revisions will be based on 802.16m-2011. WiMAX is sometimes referred to as “Wi-Fi” on steroids and is used for a number of appications including “first mile” , cellular backhaul, hotspot and enterprise connectivity. This course provides participants with a technical overview of the various WiMAX profiles, in terms of architecture, implementation options, topologies, security and mobility management.
Who will Benefit:
Engineering personnel involved in the planning, operation and design of 802.16 (WiMAX) networks.
Sound understanding of radio communications is desirable.
Mode of Delivery:
